Meet Dr. Yenile Pinto / Founder
Dr. Pinto founded Deering Dental after realizing modern dentistry rewarded speed and insurance metrics — not long-term health. Her practice is built around prevention, functional thinking, and preserving teeth whenever possible.
Early in her career, Dr. Yenile Pinto followed the rules and trusted the system.
And everywhere she worked, she saw the same thing.
Dentistry was driven by insurance, speed, and volume — not health. Practices were forced to cut corners just to survive. Patients waited. Teams burned out. Outcomes suffered.
She had no control over it.
So she kept moving from practice to practice, convinced there had to be a better way.
There wasn’t.
What troubled her most wasn’t just the system — it was the result. Even when everything was done “by the book,” patients kept coming back needing more work. Fillings failed. Teeth broke down.
She began asking a question she couldn’t ignore:
Am I actually helping people — or just managing their decline?
That question led her to open Deering Dental.
Asking Better Questions
With control over her own practice, Dr. Pinto invested in better materials, better labs, and more advanced training.
Still, she saw breakdown.
That’s when she stopped asking how to fix teeth — and started asking why they were failing.
Her search led her to biomimetic dentistry — an approach focused on preserving natural tooth structure and restoring teeth in a way that mimics how they’re meant to function.
Outcomes changed immediately. Teeth were stronger. Patients needed fewer aggressive procedures.
But it also revealed something deeper.
From Fixing Teeth to Protecting Health
As her understanding grew and especially as she became a mother, Dr. Pinto realized cavities and gum disease aren’t the real problem.
They’re signals.
Signals of inflammation, bite and airway issues, and stress on the body long before pain appears.
Her focus shifted from repairing damage to preventing it — by understanding how oral health, breathing, sleep, and structure work together.
Dentistry became the intervention.
Health preservation became the goal.

How She Practices Today
Today, Dr. Pinto practices dentistry through a functional and biomimetic lens.
She takes time.
She asks better questions.
She looks for patterns others miss.
She works collaboratively with her patients, guiding decisions through education and clarity — but she does not compromise her standards. She will never recommend treatment she doesn’t believe is in someone’s best interest.
Her philosophy is simple:
- Preserve natural tooth structure
- Address root causes, not just symptoms
- Reduce the need for invasive dental work over time
This approach has led to significantly fewer crowns and root canals. Not because care is avoided, but because problems are addressed earlier and more intelligently.
A Different Kind of Dental Relationship
Dr. Pinto works best with patients who value prevention, curiosity, and long-term thinking. People who want a trusted partner in their health, not just someone to fix a problem and move on.
Her goal has never been to take shortcuts.
It’s been to practice with integrity and offer care that actually makes sense.
Outside The Office
Outside the office, Dr. Pinto is a mother of five girls who values time outdoors, cooking real food, and staying active and healthy as a family. Her interest in functional health isn’t academic, it’s personal.
