Since opening Deering Dental in 2015 with the help of her husband Peter, Dr. Pinto has been on a mission to change the way her guests think and feel about dentistry. “My goal has always been to create a practice where my guests receive the kind of service and level of care that I would want for my own family.”
Prior to accomplishing her dream of having her own practice, Dr. Pinto attended the University of Miami on a full academic scholarship where she graduated Cum Laude in just three years with a bachelor’s degree in biology and a minor in chemistry. Afterwards she went on to study dentistry at NYU Dental school also on academic scholarship. Being a Miami native and coming from a tight knit Cuban-American family, Dr. Pinto returned to her native city to begin practicing. Not satisfied with the standard of care she saw while working at several practices throughout Miami, Dr. Pinto set out to do something about it and opened Deering Dental to fulfill her vision of what dentistry should be.
Believing that, “if you’re not learning, you’re dying”, Dr. Pinto continues to hone her craft and strives to be at the forefront of dental medicine. This never ending search has led her to become one of the only Biomimetic dentists in Miami which she says is, “the future of dentistry and the only ethical option once you understand how much better it is for your guests.”
When she’s not transforming smiles or researching new dental techniques, Dr. Pinto enjoys spending most of her time with her husband Peter and four daughters Francesca, Giovanna, Valentina and Caterina She also loves trying out new restaurants, riding motorcycles with her husband, finding new adventures and Cuban Bread with cream cheese and coffee.
Dr. Villena’s journey into dentistry was inspired by his grandfather’s dedication to helping others. After exploring various medical fields, he found dentistry to be the perfect blend of science and hands-on care. His approach focuses on seeing the whole person, not just their teeth, which is why he’s a strong advocate of biomimetic dentistry—a technique that preserves natural tooth structure for better long-term health.
His comprehensive experience includes a residency at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where he worked with patients facing complex health issues, reinforcing his belief that dental care is integral to overall well-being. Dr. Villena was drawn to Deering Dental for its commitment to modern techniques and personalized care, where every guest feels heard and respected.
Dedicated to lifelong learning, Dr. Villena has completed advanced courses in biomimetic dentistry and implant therapy, and continues to expand his expertise in restorative dentistry.
Outside the office, Dr. Villena enjoys fishing, cooking, spending time with family, and attending mass. He brings that balance and gratitude into his practice, aiming to build trust and provide compassionate care for every guest.
